STAGE in QVC (Area Brand and Communications Department)

Communications Manager
Reporting to the Director of Brand and Communications Department, the ideal candidate is responsible for leading the brand communications team in continually enhancing QVC brand image; increasing brand awareness, mainly through external media communication. At the same time, this role includes the management of internal communications as the brand communications manager in QVC acts as the brand’s spokesperson responsible for creating and implementing a long-term communication strategy, brand driven. The person is in charge with telling a corporate story externally, with the ability to translate business performance and operations into to positive news.

ACTIVITIES
External communication:   
to formulate and implement public relations strategies; 
 to select and manage communications with external agencies 
to develop media strategies and other non-campaign activities;   
proactively support the corporate identity of QVC through traditional and new media channels;
to write and oversee the writing/editing of event scripts, speeches, shareholder documents and reports, advertising and promotional materials, press releases, interviews, and any other external communications.Internal communication:
 leverage a wide range of communications vehicles including: management e-mails, employee newsletters, leader blogs, day to day announcements, management talking points, and intranet (myQVC portal)
expanding and innovating tolls to engage all employees worldwide;developing the content, messaging and agendas for corporate events.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal
 to interface with all areas of the business and partner with members of the Communications, Marketing, Customer Service and Human Resources teams as well as with the Leadership team to ensure message alignment.  
relations with other QVC Brand Communications representative benefiting from QVC as One company.

External:
Well connected with the publishing and PR Italian market;
To create favorable relationship with the main publisher in the Italian context through her/his connections Fostered in past experiences decision making 
To provide strategic input and direction for the brand keeping the company’s vision, mission, and objectives in mind;
To allocate resources to maximize collaboration, efficiency and creativity in the building and maintenance of consistent branding or corporate identity across communication channels output 
To create a long- term communication strategy; 
To translate business performance and operations into to positive news; 
Enhance employees’ knowledge of company’s business and Brand Strategy; 
To tell a corporate story externally.
